Here at Wilsun Custom Products, we are thrilled to start partnering with Madison Keese, a dedicated and gifted hunter rider. We were able to do a quick Q&A session with her — check it out so you can get to know her!
✨How did you start riding and how long have you been riding?
I have been riding my whole life. My mom and my grandma both rode, so it was only natural that I did as well.
✨Words of advice you’d give to a beginner rider or one who is facing a setback?
Words of advice I would give to a beginner or someone facing a setback would be that everything always works out how it is supposed to even if it seems like it will not. If you are doing your best and working hard, that is half of the battle!
✨What disciplines have you trained or competed in?
I have trained and competed in the hunters, jumpers, and equitation.
✨Most memorable moment in or out of the show ring?
One of my most memorable horse show moments was receiving the Sportsmanship Award in Kentucky. It was awesome to receive an award for hard work and positivity outside of the ring as well and to know that I have such a great group of people supporting me.
✨Biggest achievement/ what you’re most proud of?
My most recent big achievement would be to have had many wins and opportunities my first season as a professional, including winning the USEF Talent Search a few weeks ago with "Poker Face," a young horse that I have been developing this past year.
✨Do you have any goal(s) you’re working towards?
This year has been big for me developmentally and I have many goals for the future, one being the WCHR developing professional challenge at Capital Challenge at the end of this year.
We are wishing her the best of luck as she goes after those goals! 👏
